Japan Weekly Sales Charts April 23 – April 29

Games Hardware Japan

Media Create over in Japan have posted the latest sales figures for hardware and software, everything is still coming up roses for Nintendo while Sony looks like having a lean Christmas with PS Vita sales.

Mario Party 9 for the Wii was kicking goals but not enough to surpass the might of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City from Capcom which held steady  at top spot. Also nice to see the PS Vita holding a position in the top four with Ciel Nosurge: Ushinawareta Hoshi e Sasagu Uta.

Over on the hardware front, the unstoppable 3DS continues to steam on ahead with just under 75K units sold for the week but in more amazing news, the PS2 sold more units than the Xbox 360, yowzers. If that isn’t screaming, “Microsoft, get out!”, I don’t know what is.
