The single is called “Sore Dewa, Mata Ashita” and will be released on July 25 ahead of the movie, it’s also worth noting that the band provided the opening theme, “Haruka Kanata”, back in 2003.

Masafumi Goto, a vocalist in the group had the following to say on how this had affected and changed their popularity.

Thanks to Naruto, we now have fans in South America, Europe, and Asia. It’s a great honor to have been chosen to sing the main theme for the (Naruto) movie.

While the Naruto creator, Masashi Kishimoto, also had the following comment regarding the thought process behind choosing the band.

I have been deeply involved with this movie since the initial planning stages. When I thought about who I’d want singing the theme song, I thought about Asian Kung-Fu Generation, who was in charge of the anime’s opening theme in its early days. This movie will be complete once this song has been put into it!
