Evangelion taxis will be taking over Sapporo, Japan from now until February 11, this is all part of promotions from Choei Taxi who have a history of using their cabs to promote various franchises.
In the past, their taxis have been adorned with characters from moe, anime and various promotions for video games which has resulted in their cabs covered with decorations and visuals from different franchises. Varying from Resident Evil, moe Little Berries to assist with local agriculture and the bishoujo version of the spirit of Lake Toya.
With all the hoopla surrounding the release of Evangelion 3.0 in Japanese cinemas, now it’s the turn of the Eva series to cover the taxis. Five different cabs have been chosen to carry visuals featuring Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley Shikinami, Shinji Ikari, Kaworu Nagisa and lastly, Mari Illustrious Makinami.
