A while back we reported on the live action adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno which was going to be releasing across Japanese cinemas. Some early figures from the screenings have started to leak out and it looks like it’s been doing great business.
Warner Bros, who distributed the movie in Japan, have announced that since the opening on August 1st and up to August 28th, the movie had grossed a highly impressive ¥4,013,551,800 or roughly about $US$38.5 million. A very tidy sum indeed. The movie is the first in the last instalment for the Rurouni Kenshin live action series so it’s great to see it doing so well.
