Japan’s Police Dept. Enlists Some Help

In wacky world news from Japan, the police department in the Okayama prefecture have enlisted a new officer to help them on the block. Futaba is a five year old Shiba Inu who has just passed a rigorous regime of tests and exams to make her the first of her breed to be accepted in the force. As is typical in a large number of police forces around the world, the canine squad is usually made up of German Shepherds so while it is unusual it isn’t the first time a smaller breed of dog has been accepted.
