Capcom have announced plans to hold celebrations and a grand party on January 20th to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise. The party will be held somewhere in Shibuya and will off playable kiosks featuring Resident Evil Revelations for the 3DS which is due out on January 26.
The event will also see special appearances by the developers of the franchise and other special guests. As well as that, people who turn up will be walking away with supposedly rare swag. Those lucky devils.
The event is supposed to be only for the press and Capcom partners but 96 members of the Resident Evil fan club will be receiving invites, these will be chosen at random. Why 96? 1996 was the year that the first Resident Evil was released.
