Japan Sales Charts Apr 30 – May 6

Nintendo once again dominates the sales charts in both software and hardware charts this week. On the software front, Mario Party 9 on the Wii takes first place from the PS3 title, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, with sales in excess of over 140, 000 units, wowzers!

The 3DS reigns supreme on the hardware front with over 91, 000 units shifted the past week. The PS Vita managed to creep over 10K sales with 10, 583 units sold. The PS Vita seems to be suffering from the same problems the 3DS had in the early days, lack of quality software.

But there are some great titles on the horizon so we’ll keep our peepers on the case also it’ll be interesting to see if the recent announcement of the Crystal White colour for the Vita will push sales along? Anyways, enjoy the charts below.
