Nintendo 3DS Holds Off PS Vita Despite Sales Surge

My favourite time has rolled around once again…Japan weekly sale charts time!

The tagline says it all, the 3DS is still reigning supreme despite a very strong comeback, and against the trend, by the PS Vita this week.

The 3DS shifted just over 60K units while the big surprise was Sony’s struggling handheld selling over 34K units…wowzers! I wouldn’t be thinking that this is the start of the revolutionary comeback for Sony though as a quick look at the software chart reveals why the Vita’s sales when up a couple of gears.

Persona 4 The Golden was released this week in Japan and is sitting pretty at the number one spot for software sales. Apart from that, that’s the only mention that the Vita gets I’m afraid.

Roll the charts below!
