Dark Horse Announces Hatsune Manga & Loads More

Dark Horse publishes many quality titles from the world of manga and during the recent Sakura-Con, they used the opportunity to make some pretty cool announcements.

First up, there’s the release of KEI’s Hatsune Miku: Unofficial Hatsune Mix, The Art of Katsuya Terada book and Hideki Mori and Kazuo Koike’s New Lone Wolf & Cub manga. Kei is the original artist behind Hatsune Miku who first started the comic in Jive’s Comic Rush magazine back during 2007. The first instalment is due early next year and will also include colour illustrations.

New Lone Wolf & Cub, which was first announced in 2006, has been delayed due to licensing issues. The series which ran from 2004 to 2007 continued from where the original series with Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima ended in 1976. And just with the Miku manga, it will touch down sometime in early 2014.

During the event, Dark Horse also let drop that the 14th volume of The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service is still on line to be released in December. Also both Oh My Goddess! and Blade of the Immortal, will be available digitally starting this month.

As is all that wasn’t enough, the last bit of exciting news was that The Art of Katsuya Terada will also be shipping with commentary from the artist responsible for designing the characters in Blood: The Last Vampire as well as the Monkey King manga. Once again, sometime in 2014.
