A look At Japan’s Tokyo Robot Restaurant

The ROBOT RESTAURANT in Japan created a buzz when it launched last year and opened its doors to the public and once you go there, it isn’t difficult to see why.

This is a place where you can literally find dancing girls inside a huge fembot mecha, situated in a room that looks suspiciously like Vegas. If Vegas were in space. Every square inch inside the venue is covered in lights, lasers or both.

You’d be kicking yourself as an Otaku if you visited Japan and didn’t go past this establishment where it already commands visitors from all over the globe. It isn’t hard to see why local music artists are using the restaurant as a background for their music clips, after all why hire crazy backdrops and create sets when it’s already there for you?

AMIAYA, the singing twin sisters who also do some modelling, were the first artists to be allowed to take their cameras inside to capture footage for one of their PV’s.

British rock band, Muse, were also granted permission to film inside for their latest clip, Panic Station. The clip from ROBOT RESTAURANT is about halfway through but the rest of the PV was also filmed in Shibuya so there’s that to check out too.

Seems like a crazy and fun place to visit, who wants to go and check it out?
