Gundams are real and they’re rolling off the assembly line.
For those of you playing at home, you may have seen the recent video of the 18 metre tall Gundam robot coming to life and moving around. If you missed it, you can catch it here:
Another event that was supposed to take place earlier in the year but unfortunately delayed due to COVID-19, was the opening of the Gundam Factory in Yokohama. Well, the wait is over with the reveal that that Gundam Factory Yokohama will be opening on December 19, 2020.
Entrance prices have been revealed and are as follows: ¥1,350 (over 13) while children aged between 7 – 13 will pay ¥1,100. You can even take the elevator to the top of the Gundam viewing platform and come face to face with the Gundam head. That will set you back ¥3,300 with bookings coming online Friday, October the 2nd, 2020.
Despite having an opening event and taking into account how long something like this must have taken to put together, the Factory isn’t around forever and at this point will only be open until March 31st, 2022. For more information, you can check out the official site and here’s hoping that travel will be possible by then.
