Fans of the Shin Megami series will be pleased to hear that there’s a new dungeon crawler in the series coming to us from developer, Atlus. Famitsu magazine recently announced that Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation is being jointly developed by Atlus and Sega for the smartphone platform.
Not much is known at the moment but we have heard that the story centres around the two factions known as the Liberators and the Acolytes. Stay tuned, hopefully we’ll hear more soon on this exciting development.
Gaming bars, cafes and restaurants seem to pop up everywhere in Japan with the more recent one being the Square Enix cafe in Akihabara. Today we hear that a brand new one has opened just after the release of a new game in the series.
That game is Persona 5 and the new Persona cafe has just newly opened in downtown Shibuya. Both Final Fantasy XV and Persona 5 were supposed to compete against each other but a delay to FF XV sees Persona 5 having the current stand of big releases all to itself.
The cafe is a collaboration between developer Atlus and Pasela, a restaurant operator. Now let’s have a look the food that’s on offer.
Like all the awesome things in Japan, the bar is only open for a limited time starting with today, October 14 until November 23rd. If you want to give it a look, here’s the all important information:
Persona is a hugely popular series all over the world and for good reason. Atlus have crafted an amazing RPG world and filled it with fantastic action and lovable characters. So it’s with anticipation that I recently saw the newly launched website for Persona 5. Not much is on there but the obligatory countdown clock, until launch or until the final website launches remains to be seen.
The game is due to hit Japan late 2016 with a release for the West as well, unfortunately no date on that as yet. They have announced that it’ll be released for both the PS3 the PS4 systems.
Here’s a newly released trailer for the forthcoming Persona 3 The Movie #2: Midsummer Knight’s Dream which slated to hit Japanese cinemas on June 7th. This is actually the fourth trailer released by Atlus so give it a look if you’ve missed the others.
Great news for fans of the Persona series ranging from the anime through to the games with the reveal that a new anime will be released in Japan.
The new anime announced by Atlus will be based on the Persona 4 Golden game last seen on the PS Vita. The show will commence broadcasting this July and will be produced by A-1 Pictures. Check out more info on the official site.
Once again Japan gets the goods with the news that a new edition 3DS will be included with a bundle. The upcoming release of Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth will see a new limited edition 3DS model sporting some amazing Persona Q artwork.
The bundle is being the Velvet Room and will come with the amazing looking 3DS XL model which carries characters from Persona 3 & 4 on the back while the front takes inspiration from Elizabeth’s LeGrimoire du Coeur.
Now here’s an eye catching new case for the Nintendo 3DS XL/LL that’s bound for the Japanese market. The case carries a Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth design and will up for pre-order on Amazon Japan. It has a reasonable price tag at ¥2,512 and will be sold alongside the game from June 5th after the game’s release.
Developer Atlus recently took the covers off of 2 new trailers for the Persona spin-off title, Persona Q. To give the game its full title, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, will be appearing on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on June 26.
The trailers show who you’ll be facing off in the game in the form of Persona 3 and Persona 4 protagonists.
Watch out for the game but until then, you can check out the official site for more info or the the handy trailers we’ve included below.
