Now here’s something cute that will get fans squeeling with kawaii overload. Square Enix are releasing a new batch of chibi characters based around the upcoming new game, Theathrhythm Final Fantasy. The new figures are Sephiroth, Cloud and Tifa. They’ll retail for ¥2, 880 and will go on sale June 27th.
Seems like the promotions are well and truly underway for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call for the Nintendo 3DS. Square Enix have just revealed a new line of Final Fantasy VII character in the cute chibi style as seen in Theatrhythm.
The lineup will have Sephiroth, Cloud and Tifa standing at 5 inches and will sell for $29.00, pre-orders are open now while the figures won’t be released until August later this year.
Capcom is ramping up their promotional activities for Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies on the Nintendo 3DS. One of the items they’ve produced are some stickers featuring the cast of Ace Attorney drawn in the cutesy chibi style.
The bundle containing the stickers will set you back ¥9,990 but also comes with a 1/10 scale model of Phoenix Wright, a Phoenix Wright pouch with his colours, replacement covers that are exclusive to the online Capcom store, first print DLC costume pack and the game.
If you’re out and about in Akihabara and want to see something really cute, you might want to take a look at the fourth floor of Kotobukiya. Walking up there you’ll see Haruka Amami from hugely popular, The Idolm@ster, who will be plastered everywhere you look. The Idolm@ster have launched their own line of figures called “Cu-poche” with Haruka being the first one to be produced.
The figures launch in Japan tomorrow, April 5th, and in the US later this year in May. In fact the US store of Kotobukiya is now accepting pre-orders for it as well. The “Cu-poche” figures come with a chibi style, very familiar to the Nendoroids from Good Smile Company and Chibi-Arts from Bandai.
Apart from the Haruka Amami figure, they plan on releasing more during the year including Saber (Fate/stay night), Madoka Kaname (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), Dark Magician Girl (Yu-Gi-Oh!) and Kirino Kosaka (Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai).
