Hyouka has proven itself to be quite the popular anime with its fictional setting of Kamiyama City. However though the setting may be fictitious, the locale is based on the very real Takayama, in the Gifu prefecture.
And now the city is banking in on that by handing out 10,000 maps to people showing off the spots in real life as seen in the anime. Just have a look at the images below, the resemblances are uncanny between anime and real locations.
The Japanese Red Cross have commenced their latest promotional drive to encourage young people to part with some of their precious blood.
Starting from now and running til the end of March, any one donating blood in the Gifu prefecture, which happens to be the home for Hida High School which inspired Kamiyama High School, will be receiving a clear file from the successful anime, Hyouka.
The designs of the clear file are subject to change but essentially feature main character Eru Chitanda with a twist on her popular saying, “I can’t stop thinking about donating blood.”
