It’s a only a short one at one minute long but this game is shaping up nicely and looked fantastic at last year’s Tokyo Game Show.

So Nintendo’s next gen console, the Wii U, has launched in Japan and other parts of the world but just how well did it sell in Japan? We can tell you that 307,471 Wii U units were sold at launch, this stacks up to 350,358 Wii units sold.
As fars as software sold at launch, here’s what was picked up gamers:
New Super Mario Bros U: 160.140
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate: 106.454
Nintendo Land: 66.583
Zombi U: 10.680
Warriors Orichi 3 Hyper: 7.252
Tekken Tag Tournament 2: 4.951
Interesting that the Wii U didn’t exceed Wiil launch figures. Seems like gamers might be showing the 3DS more love?
Editor in Chief of Game Trailers, Shane Shatterfield, has gone on record saying that the launch line up for Nintendo’s next gen console, the Wii U, is actually “pretty damn good”.
Not really sure how Mr. Shatterfield has intimate knowledge of this or whether he obtained this info straight from Nintendo but if he correct, then it looks like more exciting times ahead for the house that Mario built.
“One thing that I can say without getting in any trouble is that the launch line-up for the Wii U is going to surprise people. It’s going to be pretty damn good.”
Famitsu is reporting some impressive sales figures for the PS Vita today. Officially, the PS Vita sold 321,407 units in its first week and don’t forget that even though they call the figures for one week, that’s actually only two days from December 17 & 18 so not a bad effort from Sony.
As a point of comparison for other first week sales figures, the Nintendo 3DS sold 371,326 units from 26th of February to the 27th of February earlier this year while the original PSP sold 166,074 units back in 2004 but only covering the 12th of December so still pretty decent sales figures.
