Video Trailer For Mobile Police Patlabor Live-Action Film Chapter 3

The live action adaptation of the cult classic anime, Patlabor, continues with a trailer for the newest movie to hit Japan. This new movie contains the fourth episode called “Norainutachi no Gogo” (The afternoon of the stray dogs) as well as the fifth episode, “Daikaiju Arawaru – Zenpen” (Giant monster rises – The first part).

The third chapter hits Japan on July 12 for a run of two weeks.

Patlabor Mecha Goes Up In Japan

Patlabor, the classic anime, has received a live adaptation for the Japanese cinemas in two movies recently covering different chapters. So what better way to help promotions than by putting up a giant life sized Ingram mecha in downtown Tokyo. In the area of Kichijoji, this mecha proved to be quite the sight.

New Trailer For Mobile Police Patlabor Live-Action Film Chapter 2

The Next Generation -Patlabor-, the live action movie, has released a trailer for the next chapter in the live action adaptation set for Japan. The second chapter will hold both the 2nd and 3rd episodes of the new series and features shots of the AV-98 Ingram in all its CGI glory.

The first installment containing episodes 0 and 1 will be hitting up Japan tomorrow on April 5th. This new chapter will be screening across Japanese cinemas on May 31st for 2 weeks only. Now that’s a limited run!

AnimeJapan 2014 Report 1

AnimeJapan 2014 launched yesterday in Japan on March 22nd. This is the first time the event has been run and was held at the Tokyo Big Sight and featured a few cool display items. One of them was the AV-98 Ingram (16m-tall) and the transporter truck which drives it around.

These are both being presented and used in the live action The Next Generation – Patlabor movies.

8 Metre Tall Patlabor Mech Revealed

We’ve seen the 1:1 ratio figure of the Gundam over at Odaiba but here’s a new one to join the ranks. Recently unveiled, the 8 metre tall figure was shown off at Lalaport Toyosu and is all to promote the live action Patlabor movie, THE NEXT GENERATION -PATLABOR-The movie hits up Japanese cinemas on April 5th but check out the video below which shows the amazing figure off.

We posted some new info on the exciting live action movie, THE NEXT GENERATION -PATLABOR-, based on the cult classic anime, Patlabor.

The first installment hits cinemas on April 5th and consist of episodes 0 and 1. May 31 sees the 2nd chapter, July 12 (chapter 3), chapter 4 launches on August 30th, October 18 (chapter 5), November 29 sees the 6th episode while finally, the final chapter 7 launches on January 10, 2015. The holiday period in Japan known as the Golden Week marks the premiere of the full length movie which runs for 100 minutes, sometime between the end of April and early May, 2015.

Live Action Patlabor Movie Will Show Real Mech

The live action adaptation of the cult classic anime “Patlabor” is in full production via a new series and will now be starring a special guest. A while back we reported on a real life mech called Kuratas KR01 being put together by Suidobashi Heavy Industry.

This real life mech has found its way onto the movie where its been painted yellow for its construction labour role as well as a battle scene with the Ingram police mecha. The possibility of a CGI mech was never entertained once Kuratas KR01 managed to fill the void required.

Here’s a trailer for the anime-movie spin off, The Next Generation -Patlabor.

The first couple of installments, episodes 0 & 1, will be hitting cinemas on April 5th, 2014, where it will have a 2 week limited run. The 2nd chapter will be released on May 31st. While the full 100 minute movie will be released during the busy period known as Golden Week in Japan.
