Phantasy Star Nova for the PS Vita and published by Sega recently had some information released for it during Sony’s pre-TGS conference. The game is being developed by tri-Ace and will be released in 2014. Phantasy Star Nova also sits within the same universe as Phantasy Star Online 2, if you subtract the online sections of the game.
Expect to see more of this at next week’s Tokyo Game Show but until then have a look at the trailer below.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is headed to the Vita, due in Japan on February 28 2013 and just to whet the appetite, you can find the opening cinematic to the game as well as a promo video below. The opening cinematic is a jaw dropping 2 minutes worth of CGI goodness, awesome stuff.
The promo PV shows off some action scenes, battle modes, customisation options and loads of decent in-game footage.
Sega have made a few changes to their lineup of games for Tokyo Game Show, adding some new ones in the process. So we hear that Yakuza 5 will be playable (awesome!) as well as Phantasy Star Online 2 being playable (can’t wait!). For Phantasy Star Online 2, there will be versions for PC, Android and Vita version set up at their booth. You can see an image below of the booklet that visitors to their booth will be receiving, looks awesome!
Another game for iOS which will be in video format only will be Rhythm Thief R which was announced as being free to play. The Sega booth will also be hosting distribution partners so this means that FIFA 13, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Medal of Honor Modern Fighter, F1 Race Stars and F1 2012 will be there as well.
As with previous years, playing the demos gives you access to the best free swag, examples can be seen below of what to expect. Does anything grab anyone’s eye? Yakuza tissues or Phantasy Star Online 2 soundtrack?
