I was lucky enough to receive a media invite to the Nintendo Switch Hands – On event in Melbourne so naturally I dragged along bestie, Neko to come and join in the fun with me. We had loads of fun, ate and drank heaps…and played games too! And we also got some cool swag for coming along! Thanks to Nintendo for the awesome opportunity, we both loved it!!

Zelda 3DS XL unboxing video

Unboxing videos are very common on the inter webs these days, it seems everyone is eager to show off what they purchased. But in the case of this unboxing video, it’s downright sexy.

The unboxing video shows the new The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL console being unboxed and it looks amazing. We’re not massive Zelda fans but can appreciate a great game and when a piece of hardware comes out that’s modelled on a game, we sit up and pay attention. This is the North American version which will also come with a 4GB card and a download code for the game itself.

How nice does this look?

Zelda Sequel Coming To 3DS

Nintendo held another of their Nintendo Direct broadcasts last night where they reach out to the fans and show what their upcoming releases will be. Sometimes they’re used to show upcoming hardware or revisions to existing hardware. Last night there was a focus on the Nintendo 3DS and what the future holds in store and let’s just say, the future looks very bright for the handheld.

One of the more exciting piece of news to be announced last night was the impending release of sequel to one of the best loved games, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, from way back in 1991. The new game has the title of The Legend of Zelda: Kamigami no Triforce 2, which is set in the same world as the previous game. The game be showcasing an entirely new storyline with brand new dungeons and some nifty new additions such as Link having the ability to turn himself into a drawing on a wall.

Unsure what that means, check out the first trailer below. Make no mistake, this game looks amazing!

Surprisingly, the West will set it this holiday season while Japan will need to wait until 2014.
