Weekly anime top 10 music chart 10 June 3 -June 9

Time to have a look at the anime music charts from Tower Records, Shinjuku for this 23rd week of 2013. Taking out the top spot this time is the track, Take Your Way, from Fukase. The track stars as the OP theme for DEVIL SURVIVOR 2 the ANIMATION and hit Japan on June 5th. The anime revolves around the massively popular DS title, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2.

Weekly anime top 10 music chart May 20 – May 26

Tower Records have released the weekly look at the anime music charts Top 10. Let’s have a peek at how your favourite anime’s are doing and seeing how their OP, ED’s and everything else are doing.

In this 21st week for the year, the top spot has been taken out by four member band, nano. Their 11th single release, Sankaku EP, which features two tracks on it called “Star Chart” and “Tsuki Hana” which are both being used in the anime, The Devil Is a Part Timer!/Hataraku Maou-sama!. Coming a very close second is voice actress, Aki Toyosaki, with her 8th single release, Flip Flop.

This week, taking the top spot out was the track “Preserved Roses” from T.M.Revolution & Nana Mizuki which also marks their first outing together and was released in Japan on May 15. The song features in the anime, Valvrave the Liberator, where it serves as the OP.

Weekly anime top 10 music chart May 6 – May 12

Tower Records, Shinjuku have just released their updated list for the weekly anime top 10 music charts. Topping the charts this week is “sister’s noise” from fripSide making this their 6th single. The song is currently featuring as the OP for hit anime, A Certain Scientific Railgun S. This marks the group’s first single to reach the coveted top spot as the highest they reached before was 3rd with “only my railgun” back in 2009 when they debuted a new singer.

Meanwhile, Attack of Titan’s ED theme, “Utsukushiki Zankoku na Sekai”, performed by Yoko Hikasa, a popular voice actor, snagged the 2nd spot but it was a very narrow margin.

Ok, thanks to Tower Records in Shinjuku, we can show you the latest happenings from the music charts as they pertain to the anime weekly music charts. “GENESIS ARIA” has hit the ground running after being released in Japan on May 1st. The track is the 12th single from popular voice actor group, Sphere. The song features in the anime  Arata: The Legend which is a Spring favourite for 2013.

Tower Records Weekly Anime Song Top 10 April 22-28

Time for a look at the world of anime music according to the top 10 charts kept by Tower Records in Shinjuku. This week, the number one song is also a track from a hugely popular anime. That anime being  Uta no Prince-sama – Maji Love 2000%, a popular Spring anime, the track is called “Maji Love 2000%,” as performed by ST☆RISH.

ST☆RISH are actually a 7 member ensemble made up of seven voice actors that are also performing in the anime. The members are Takuma Terashima, Kenichi Suzumura, Kisho Taniyama, Mamoru Miyano, Junichi Suwabe, Hiro Shimono, and Kousuke Toriumi. ST☆RISH also released another single on April 23rd which saw it land on the number 3 position for the Oricon music charts. This 2nd single pushed through 50,845 units alone in its first week of release. That’s more than 3 times the amount of “Future Fantastic” from Yukari Tamura.

Tower Records Shinjuku Weekly Anime Top 10 April 15-21

Time to take a quick peek at the world of anime music from Tower Records in Shinjuku. This top 10 list is compiled weekly based on physical sales. In this 16th week, the song taking the top spot is from Yukari Tamura with “Fantastic future” which launched in Japan on April 17.

The track is being used for the opening OP for the anime,  HENNEKO – The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat.  Yukari also provides the voice for Tsukushi Tsutsukakushi in the anime who is the elder sister of Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi, the lead character in the show.

Tower Records Shinjuku Anime Song Top 10 April 8-14

Time to look at some charts in Japan and this time, it’s the turn of the Top anime songs courtesy of Tower Records in Shinjuku. This week the album taking the coveted top spot is Ayana Taketatsu with her first original album called, “apple symphony”, which was launched in Japan on April 10. The album features some of her hits such as “Onpu no kuni no Alice” through to “Jiku Tours.” Ayana is perhaps best known for her voice work on top anime, K-ON! as well as Kirino Kosaka in Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai.

The track was written and composed by Tomoya Tabuchi, the bassist from UNISON SQUARE GARDEN who has previously worked with her on another track, “oath sign”, back in 2011.
