Universal Studios Japan are always bringing out new attractions for the people, from Attack On Titan, Harry Potter and heaps more eye opening experiences. Now they’re going to be releasing a series of attractions based on the hugely popular manga, Detective Conan. In fact, there’s three attractions coming to the theme park. One of them is an escape room called “Meitantei Conan the Escape ~Zero no Prelude~” (Detective Conan the Escape: Zero’s Prelude). This escape room experience will also serve an entry to the next forthcoming animated film, Meitantei Conan Zero no Shikkounin (Detective Conan: Zero’s Executioner). The film releases on April 13th so expect to see promotions ramping up very soon.
The 2nd attraction is a special dinner and show for the guests called “Detective Conan Mystery Restaurant”. There’s also a cosplayer dressed as Tooru Amuro who will go around the restaurant and take pictures with the diners.
The third attraction is a “Detective Conan Mystery Challenge,” where attendees will be required to collect stamps that are scattered throughout the theme park. Heiji Hattori will also feature in this adventure that has a mystery theme.
And along with the awesome attractions, USJ is also putting together some themed merchandise and snacks which look really cool.
The event kicks off on 19th January 2018 – 24th June 2018 with the restaurant operating from 1st February 2018 – 20th March 2018.
It seems like everytime we turn around, Universal Studios Japan has a new feature for visitors to marvel at. If it isn’t a Biohazard attraction, it’s a Monster Hunter or in this case, Shonen Jump. Specifically, three different manga will have attractions, Death Note, Dragon Ball and One Piece.
Universal Studios is no stranger to One Piece attractions having previously hosted such an event but now it’s the all new One Piece Premiere Show 2016.
You know those Trap Room/Escape Room puzzles that are gaining popularity? It appears the Death Note attraction will be following suit and it’ll be a puzzle affair that you must solve much like the Resident Evil Real Escape Game that’s currently in place as well.
But even better, just the the 4D Spider-Man experience, the new Dragon Ball feature will see Goku battling Frieza in Dragon Ball Z The Real 4D experience.
If you want to get to any or all three new features, you better hurry as they’re running from July 1st through to September 4th, 2016.
The Monster Hunter fraternity is all abuzz with the news of the recent announcement around Monster Hunter 4G in Japan. It’s also the Monster Hunter series’ 10th year anniversary. To mark the event, Capcom have put together the nostalgic video below which is quite impressive.
The video outlines all the intro cinematics, in-game cinematics and promo clips that have been released for the Monster Hunter games from the first installment on PS2 all the way up to Monster Hunter 4 on the Nintendo 3DS. It’s a long video at over 1 hour long but Monster Hunter aficionados will lap it up.
On top of this awesome video for the anniversary, Capcom will be teaming up with Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan. From February 1, 2014, they will be having life scale replicas of the monsters seen in the games. The event is called “Monster Hunter the Real 2014″ and anyone travelling to Japan this year might want to add a side trip to their agenda.
Really excited about this next bit of news. Resident Evil will be taking over Universal Studios in Japan from September 15 through to November 11 complete with Lickers, Jill Valentine, Clare Redfield, Nemesis T-Type and most importantly, zombies, completing the transformation into downtown Raccoon City.
This attraction on the horror meter is only rated 1 however for more thrill and scares, you’ll want to check out the Umbrella Corporation: T-Virus Escape attraction loaded with the Tyrant and more zombies! As well as both attractions, there will also be themed food and drinks with T-Virus zombie brains, Birkin G alcoholic beverage and a mixed herb drink for an energy boost.
Best part though, is that Japandaman will be in Japan during this time so we’ll be able to bring you back up close and personal pics of all the action from Raccoon City.
